Water Conditions - Clear upriver Slightly Stained midlake

Report - A green pumpkin chatterbait with a 3.5 inch swimbait trailer is still the most consistent bite. We have been throwing the chatter bait on grass points and grass flats near deep water. A couple fish today came off docks on a chatterbait. We also caught a couple on a 6 inch Bass Pro Speed Shad. A few fish were caught very early on a Spook over a grass flat.

*Grass is very short in most places...you are looking for dark areas along the bank.*

The bite is solid from about 6am to about 10:30am and the slows considerably as the sun gets high. What we have noticed is the grass flats and grass points work early, but then you need to move to the docks in search of shade.

We are going to go out and focus more on a ledge bite. We will post another report tomorrow evening. We are also changing the meeting time to 5pm at Jacob Myers. This was the only reservation available. Good luck on the water!
