Pope and Gobble Call a Couple Late!

While Boone Lake was stingy all day...Ryan Pope put three bass in the boat quickly as he an Wiley Gobble capitalized on an early morning bite. Many competitors reported a top water bite throughout parts of the day, but the bass were short or would blow up on the bait but not take it. While Pope and Gobble had capitalized early it was a last minute decision to make a move that would prove pivotal for the team. Pope and Gobble made a run back up the Watauga to a bluff where Wiley Gobble landed two keeper bass in the closing moments of the tournament. With no individual bringing a limit to the scales, Pope and Gobble's 11.5 lbs. bag was enough to give them the win in the team division over Crockett and Oiler with 8 lbs. even. Ryan Pope took the win in the individual competition with 7 lbs.

*There are very few pics due to the heavy rain fall during weigh-in.
